The 40V max XGT® Brushless 6-1/2” Circular Saw Kit (GSH05M1) provides cordless convenience while taking on high-demand applications. The Makita-built brushless motor delivers up to 5,200 RPM for high-speed cutting performance. The 6-1/2” Circular Saw can deliver up to 290 cuts per charge in 2x10 SPF lumber on a fully charged 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah battery. The GSH05M1 features a 2-1/4" cutting capacity at 90° and 1-5/8" at 45°, with a 0-50° bevel capacity with positive stops at 22.5°, 45°, and 50°. The saw features electric brake for maximum productivity. It features a die-cast magnesium base, blade guard, and blade cover provide a lightweight design; weighs only 7.9 lbs. with 4.0Ah battery Convenience features include a L.E.D. light with preglow and afterglow illuminates the work area, and a retractable extra wide tool hook that secures the tool when not in use. The GSH05 features a compact and ergonomic design at only 11-3/4" long without battery. The saw is also equipped with Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), is a series of integrated seals designed to improve a tool’s operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. The GSH05 features the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS®), which uses Bluetooth® technology for wireless power-on and power-off communication between the equipped tool and dust extractor. Once connected via AWS, the AWS-equipped dust extractor will automatically power on or off when the AWS-equipped cordless tool starts or stops, running only when the tool is in use. This increases productivity on a single charge and reduces continuous noise at the job or work site.
